It all started out in September of 2005 with Brad Radley and Chris Soper jamming on their acoustics. They were just going to play a few covers to blow of some musical steam, but then they wrote a couple of songs. They sounded good with 2 acoustic guitars, but Brad and Chris were just dying to see what it would sound like with a whole band, so they called in some friends. Two years later, Brad, Chris, and Becky Bowden have written over 30 songs. Gilpin Railroad Incident has been playing all over the state of Maine. They have opened for Rodney Atkins, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, James Mcmurtry and the Heartless Bastards, and Jeff Caron to name a few. It seems that maybe there is a place in the world for a cross-genre acoustic band, and Gilpin Railroad Incident is glad to fill the slot.
