The band has been form during summer, 2007, in Velika Gorica, altought the idea existed more than a year before. That idea has evolved by Josip Pesut, young guitarist inspired by various genres of music, starting from guitar virtuoses Yngwie Malmsteen, Chuck Schuldiner, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Allan Holdsowrth, to more extreme music such as Necrophagist, Symphony X, Children Of Bodom, Slipknot, Mudvayne, Darkane, and to classical music – J. S. Bach, Vivaldi, Paganini, Beethoven, Mozart, and game music composers Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitsuda. After he recorded first demo tapes at home, it didn't take him much time to assemble first line up of his creation he named Fantasy Engines, which is now made of Josip Pesut (guitars), Tomislav Lackovic (bass, vox), Domagoj Lovric (guitars), Kresimir Lovric (drums) and Daniel Ivanic (keyboards). At this stage, this music could be described as progressive rock/metal with elements of new age, having lot of pieces instrumental. The name of the band, Fantasy Engines, was made of description of co-relation of consciousness and materia. It is already known that materia is consequence of consciousness. Using perception and physical senses consciousness creates the form of material world wherein we exist. But people have the ability to cross the physical, and reach the spiritual dimensions. Every entity has it's ''energy projection'' throughout the level beyond physical. Most people have mentally accepted the self-concept that they are solid three-dimensional human beings. To maintain this self-illusion, we effectively mold our energy body with our subconscious thoughts and self-image. We become what we believe we are. The humanoid form is our creation. We are not bodies, we are not form, all of these things are but temporary tools of consciousness. In certain way, people are like machines, genetically and culturally programmed to peculiar limitations in parameters of mental and spiritual evolution, but still, all people have the possibility to use fantasy, maybe as individual asylum, or as spark of wish to create independence from material world.
