MARYAM

The new album There Are Songs!
Kansas City has a new artist that will heighten and refresh the local music scene with a sound that combines both vintage and modern elements. This artist is MARYAM. The songwriter originally from Northern California is known for her honest, funny, and intelligent lyrics that are crafted with infectious melodies and warm heart-felt vocals. The songwriters 2005 release 'Nothing Nice to Say' was a Pop Punk genre spanning album composed and mastered at Two Willows Studios. Having enjoyed local popularity in California, the songwriter is now exploring new territory in Kansas City with the most recently released %u201CThere Are Songs%u201D album on MultiDose Records. This 2010 release broadens the songwriter%u2019s spectrum of sound and increases the range of her audience from Punk/Indie (with songs like %u201CDetoxing%u201D) to a softer Alternative (with songs like %u201CShort Attention Span%u201D). The album produced and mastered at MultiDose Records exhibits the finest quality in local music, and is the new choice for independent artists.

%u201CThere Are Songs%u201D is a full length album of 11 songs. Songs such as %u201CDetoxing%u201D, %u201CSmell of New Things%u201D, and %u201CShort Attention Span%u201D have received much positive commentary and reviews. Please read below for short excerpts of the reviews.

Jose The Guitarist (Myspace Fan)
%u201CI love your music and your voice is truly mesmerizing. I really like short attention span%u201D

Steve (Myspace Fan)
%u201CI think everything presently on your MS player, taken together, is really good at creating a mood so it's hard to single out one song I like best.%u201D

In closing we hope you enjoy this new album in its entirety! It is truly a piece of art well deserving of recognition! Please see http://www.myspace.com/maryam66 for upcoming shows and additional information.

Please Be Seated Review
"The Please Be Seated EP from The Ryan Express caught me off guard. Definitely one of those great projects that you don't see coming because you are completely unaware of what to expect." -Dennis Scanland (Music Emissions)

An independent forefront of creativity, this studio provides all of the tools necessary to create professional sound without the extreme costs of a major label produced album. Preferring to stay underground to the support of artists and songwriters alike, the label endorses complete creative freedom without any restrictions in an effort to represent the capacity of today’s art.
